Allow me to reintroduce myself.

Things have shifted since I started this law, mediation, and coaching practice 1.5 years ago. It’s time for a reintroduction.

Hi, I’m Cady.

For ten years, I have practiced as an estate and trust litigation attorney. I have learned so much from my practice. Litigation taught me about organization, open communication, confidence, and public speaking. I employ a unique, client-focused approach to all my cases and firmly believe that simply because we work in an adversarial process, doesn’t mean we, as lawyers, have to be adversarial. We can represent clients with empathy, compassion, and respect towards one another and we absolutely should.

As a mediator, I help parties and lawyers in the weeds of litigation. I’m a problem solver by nature and believe that we are often able to come to better outcomes through dispute resolution than we can in the courtroom. Over the last few years, I’ve mediated multiple family disputes in the estate and trust arena, often after the death of a loved one. It’s an emotional space that must be treated delicately. I recognize the value in listening to the parties, hearing their stories, and helping them find peace in resolution.

As a coach, I help professionals in high-stress environments with the issues that we all face every day: overcoming burnout, recovering from perfectionism, and finding joy in the day to day. My mission is to build confidence in my peers so that they stand up for themselves at work and home, create boundaries when necessary, and choose themselves daily. While our daily tasks may be stressful, I do not think our workplaces should be. If we were all just a little more content, we would be kinder and the world would be a better place.

I think a good way to learn about ourselves is to slow down and reflect. A good mentor helps too. I believe in a routine that enhances my mental and physical health which includes exercise, outdoor time, reading, journaling, sleepy-time tea, and constant learning. I think humans thrive with connection and that having a good circle of supportive, like-minded friends can do wonders.

If you want to know more about me, or if you need a lawyer, mediator, or coach, I hope that you’ll contact me. I would be so happy to support you in whatever way I can.
